The Brienz Rothorn Railway, Switzerland's oldest steam cog railway, has climbed Rothorn Kulm (2244m) hissing, huffing and puffing since 1892. Try conquering 1,678 meters of altitude differential and 25% gradient without getting short of breath! Six tunnels and and two galleries make for a thrilling change during the ride.
The reward for the ride is a spectacular mountain panorama, the hospitality of the Rothorn Kulm Hotel and a wide selection of incomparable hikes.
