From the mountain station (2453 m), there is a 7-km-long panoramic trail leading round the Schafberg to the mountain station of the Pontresina – Alp Languard (2330 m) chairlift; the hike takes about 2 1/2 hours. Those who want something rather more challenging can walk up to the Segantini hut (2731 m), the last home of the Swiss painter Giovanni Segantini.
