Denise Biellmann (born 11th December 1962) is Switzerland's most successful female figure skater. In 1981 she won first the European and then the world amateur championship.
After turning professional she went on to win 11 world titles. She was the first woman to land a triple Lutz - one of the hardest skating jumps - but she is best known for the Biellmann spin. This entails executing a one foot spin while holding with both hands the other foot which is extended over the head.
